An exhibition that invites visitors to discover the relationship between art, childhood and play through a selection of toys, objects and documents associated with twentieth-century artists and writers. The exhibition draws on the La Mirada Ingenua collection, made up of pieces that offer an insight into the ways in which different creators observed, represented, collected or incorporated the world of play into their artistic careers. Rather than considering the toy solely as an object intended for children, the exhibition explores different ways of understanding it: as a source of artistic inspiration, as an object of memory, as a learning tool, and also as a space for freedom, imagination and transgression.
