Dalí's Figueres Dalí in the urban space

In Figueres, the city of Dalí, you will find a multitude of sculptures inspired by the most internationally renowned local artist throughout the entire municipality.

The fact that Figueres is a dalian city is reflected in the numerous sculptures inspired by the artist that are scattered all around it:

“Portrait of Dalí” by Xavier Medina Campeny (lower square of the Rambla) is an interactive sculpture that allows visitors to play with the reflection of the artist’s face.
“Cypress to Salvador Dalí” by Òscar Tusquets (roundabout at C/ Nou 231) is a monumental cypress fountain over 20 meters tall, inspired by the painting The Birth of Liquid Desires (1932).
“La Grande Cuillère” (Av. Salvador Dalí, 107) is a monumental sculpture by Salvador Dalí himself, created for an anthological exhibition at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, which has been donated to the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation.

The Dalí project in Figueres includes life-size photographs of the artist in places linked to his life in the city, such as the Salvador Dalí Birthplace, the Palmera Square and the Rambla, and nightly projections of his works in the Torre Galatea, the Escorxador Square and the Library during the summer.
