The exhibition, located in the passageway next to Salvador Dalí’s Birthplace, revolves around the artistic relationship and friendship between Salvador and Anna Maria Dalí and the poet and playwright Federico García Lorca, and the poet’s two visits to Dalí in Figueres and Cadaqués in 1925 and 1927.
The exhibition, located on the public thoroughfare (between Caamaño and Monturiol streets), consists of three large panels and is complemented by a leaflet that expands on the content via a QR code.
The central panel deals with Federico García Lorca and Salvador Dalí, their acquaintance at the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid and their connection.
The left panel explores aspects such as the friendship between Anna Maria Dalí, the painter’s sister, and Lorca, and the poet’s visits to Figueres and Cadaqués.
Finally, the right-hand panel explains Lorca’s relationship with the actress Margarida Xirgu and his play ‘Mariana Pineda’, which he read for the first time in public at the Dalí family home in Figueres in 1925.
