Sweet butifarra sausage has been a traditional sausage in our region since the 14th century.

It can be found either raw or dried, and can be eaten as an appetizer, main course or dessert. Formerly one of the sausages made during the pig slaughter in the country houses of L’Empordà, it has now become an artisan product that is made all year round, available in any butcher’s shop in town.
