The flaona is a typical Figueres sweet with over two hundred years of history.

It is crescent-shaped, solid and crunchy on the outside and filled with cream. It is traditionally eaten at the end of January on the feast of Sant Pau de la Calçada. Nowadays, however, it can be found all year round in the city’s patisseries.
